Josh is a financial advisor and principal at Muirfield Wealth Advisors. As the son of a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Josh’s interest in investments and financial planning was sparked at a young age through witnessing the positive impact his father, Phil Bailey, had on his clients’ lives. Josh is a graduate of East Carolina University, where he earned a B.S. in finance. He also holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation from The American College of Financial Services.
During his eight-plus years as a financial advisor, Josh has helped his clients align their investments with their goals and become more confident about their financial futures. He ardently upholds the fiduciary standard, which drives him to always put his clients’ interests above his own, and places immense value on earning clients’ trust. Additionally, Josh strives to educate his clients by simplifying complex financial concepts so they can make informed decisions regarding their financial plans.
Josh’s areas of expertise include retirement income planning, portfolio management, income tax strategies and estate planning. Josh and Phil have also developed an innovative sudden wealth planning process to help clients manage the emotional and financial effects of receiving windfalls from major life events. These can include an inheritance, a divorce or legal settlement, the sale of a business or property, a sports or an entertainment contract, and stock options.
Josh lives in South Charlotte with his wife, Laura, and their rescued lab-mix, Chance. He is passionate about improving financial literacy education in K-12 schools to instill positive habits in the next generation. He enjoys watching and playing sports of all kinds, especially golf, as well as traveling and spending time at Wrightsville Beach.
